Pro-migration Republican Senators are signaling a quick collapse for the Democratic-backed migration plan now being negotiated by Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), according to Politico.

Mike Rounds (R-S.D.), blamed Russia for the rising GOP opposition, telling Politico “I suspect that a lot of the internet rumors are very well coming from overseas, where they would love to see this shut down because some people would rather not see funding for Ukraine.”

You know, legislation is not necessary. Enforce the law, faithfully execute your duties under the Constitution. Instead, the Biden/Obama regime is WILLFULLY violating the law and the Constitution. And most likely acting in concert with entities outside the United States.
From the tidbits leaking out, I agree that what Lankford/McConnell and Democrats are trying to do is make the invasion "legal".

It was just last week that I read somewhere (probably here) that McConnell gave the responsibility for this bill to Lankford because he just won re-election to his second term in 2022 and was good to go for four more years.

Now this is albatross is being hung around his neck.

The furthest “compromise” should go is a Green Card and pay a large fine, and that’s only for a select few who meet strict criteria. They pay taxes. They don’t break the law. They don’t vote. No citizenship. Cheat on their taxes? Deported. Don’t hold a job for a set period of time? Deported. Break the law? Deported.

The rest? Deported and apply for citizenship like the law says.

And that’s being very generous.
