The story behind the story is the current recruits lack the aptitude to actually employ the complex tools of war to be effective. Ya they can point a gun but as we progress our equipment and complex systems will begin to fall apart just like Russia and China’s do.
The focus has shifted from professionalism to a job welfare program for the deranged, mentally unstable people have no capacity for the rigor of thought and discipline of effort to maintain our current modern military.
They will be effective thugs with guns but nothing more.
A desired result in the fundamental transformation of America.
Weak American military means an easier excuse for surrender after the upcoming Day of Infamy, 21st Century style.
Obama and the Left play the long game. GOPe plays to get along and share the spoils.
Recruits will diminish to zero soon. Who would want to join a combat unit made up of trannys, perverts and cross dressers?

First of all, there’s a general softness/hedonism among Gen Z society, lack of patriotism, lack of trust in institutions (which is deserved)
Add in this Democrat/leftist Race-mongering and white-hate, and white boys from solid families, they and their parents see this VERY clearly.
I have no doubt this is what traditional Roman families in the 3rd century AD saw as well - a bloated and corrupt government, pissing away money, bloated with debt, that was not working in their interest - relying on political strife and slogans to stay in power.
Its why Rome needed to resort to mercenaries and foreigners to man the Legions.
They prefer to have minorities as cannon fodder. Is that what you’re implying?
West Point was turning away even very well qualified white candidates while its Director of Admissions admitted that “every qualified African-American applicant were offered admission into West Point, yet the class composition goal was still lacking.” The goal was the United States Military Academy’s intensive quota system meant to cut 20% of white officers from the mix.
The Academy has been sued by qualified white candidates, including a high school student with a 4.2 GPA, three family members currently serving in the military and a grandfather who fought in the Army on D-Day, who were kept out because their skin color was not diverse enough.
Diversity for the sake of excellence is exceptional. Diversity for the sake of diversity is wrong.
