Something really odd about the title of this thread. “Ukraine even Now” What the heck does that mean? LOL
Stalin had signed a 10 year non aggression pact with Hitler which included a plan to split Poland between Germany and Russia. Then Hitler violated the agreement and Stalin decided to act friendly. My parents in the 1930s and 40s saw how the socialists (cryptocommies) first tried to keep us out of the war, then when Hitler violated the agreement, they all started urging the US to join the fight.
In addition, my father spent years after 1945 fighting to keep the commies from taking over his white colar union as Stalin proceeded with his attempts to take over the east and west coast ports. Gus Hall was his west coast agent, I don’t know the details in the port of New York. Eventually, with money from management the commies succeeded in breaking up his union. So, yeah, Russia was a real good friend! NOT
It's amazing, and pathetic and inexcusable, that we are paying Ukrainian pensions and teachers salaries. FedGov didn't agree to pay these for Detroit when it went bankrupt a few years ago, to put that in perspective.
