And as far as the bump stock being classified as machine gun, that can be blamed on the Las Vegas shooting, which has never been fully explained by the fbi or .gov, making it appear to be a federal operation that went wrong...
Trump did not order any guns banned. Trump, under the reccommendation of the NRA, had the atf review them.
It was either have the atf review them, or have congress pass a much stricter gun control law into effect, banning or restricting much more than just bumpstocks

I suppose Presidents (both Republican and Democrat) can't help themselves - the power must be intoxicating. Regardless, all Presidents need to be faithful to the Bill of Rights.
