I also had the opportunity to see his Trio play, once.
It was at a assembly in my 2nd grade school...
They were introduced then played lots of songs — I was six and really did not have much of an ear formic at that time (likely as well as my school mates).
The final song was Linus and Lucy and the crowd went WILD!
A really good memory!

I saw Vince Guaraldi live at
Bohemian Caverns, a black-owned nightclub in DC, in the late 60s. Bunch of white high school seniors waltzed right on in, and were cordially received, in the ramp up of the Civil Rights era. What a cool club (finally went out of business after almost a century not long ago) and Guaraldi -- what a great jazz pianist!
