I THINK they did this song this year
At least one Carpenters song was performed
I’m pretty sure it was this one
BUT the extra instruments / performers were not with them
The video for One Fine Morning has strings but they weren’t touring with the band

This song was written by Bonnie Bramlett & Leon Russell, and performed by Delaney & Bonnie, before the Carpenters.

Rita Coolidge gave them the idea for the song. But it's just too depressing.
I like the Superstar written by Norman Whitfield and performed by The Temptations.

(remember Delaney & Bonnie & Friends?) The group broke up when their marriage did.

When they performed at a free outdoor concert last month in Oro Valley, AZ, they arranged to have members of the Tucson Philharmonic (I believe) join them for some of the songs. This was one of them.

And there's even a video that does a side-by-side comparison of Karen Carpenter and Ksenia each singing "Superstar" ... quite fantastic ...

Yes, a most excellent presence. Vasily is quite protective of her too... one can’t blame the guy, honestly.

I assumed it, but forgot about the seven languages. But yes, smart, too.

I have been a huge fan of Karen Carpenter and her voice, but I think this cover is more impressive than the original.
I have not heard a single cover this group has failed to absolutely nail.
Granted, much of this is due to the skill of the vocalist(s), but an equal measure must be due the score, mixing, and overall direction.
