No. He will be fine. Our bears are putting on fat for their 2 month semi hibernation. They know trash days of individual neighborhoods and will definitely make a mess. But they go out of their way to avoid humans. We have a juvenile that comes right by our front porch sometimes.

They are everywhere, all over here, big ones too, that follow weekly garbage pickups, fish&games gives out garbage bin locks but they pop those easily. Neighbor across the street gets trashed yard every time they leave garbage out overnight.

Bears are fearless, walk right through neighborhood, checking them all for goodies. Climb fences like cats, fast too.

I’ve seen a bit of bear scat in my time, black and brown, but I don’t want to imagine what a $45 Taco Bell scat pack would look like in my lawn or driveway (identifiable by the wrappers I am sure).

That is a very large bear for Florida.

Unbelievable! I had no idea they were down there. I figured they stayed in the north and western parts of the US.
