“wake up and go to sleep”
“who’s throwing those pies?”
The episode with Kenneth MacDonald as Ichabod Slipp!
Great story! What a treasure, and good on you for taking that initiative. Thanks for sharing.
Not sure I want to hazard a guess about that one, though.
Perhaps ADVISE AND CONSENT and THE BEST MAN ( really good movies, though the latter was written by Gore Vidal and we all know about the "debate"/name calling Buckley V Vidal thingy ) would be on the list.
Bride-less groom...a classic.
I think Ben-Hur would be on that list.
Sing a Song of Six Pants.
Which version...the original or the remake? Both are excellent; however, the chariot race in the Silent is far better than the one with Charlton Heston AND the remake introduces a sly homosexual element to the two main characters/old boyhood, now adult friends, which is NOT in the Silent, nor the book!
Also, perhaps THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE.
The clam chowder episode.
Have enjoyed The Boys since the late 50’s when Channel 6 in Philly would run 2 episodes every afternoon on Sally Starr.
Men in Black is my top episode! For duty and humanity!
The Stoogeum is a must see!
Shemp actually preceeded Curley as the original 3 stooges. He quit and Curley started. Shemp showed up sometimes after that.
Some of their stuff is really timeless like when they are cooking and the cat goes into the kitchen and when they are firemen.
After she leaves, Curly asks: “What does she want with a can o’ peas?”
Moe: “Not can o’ peas – canapes!”
Larry: “ ‘Not can o’ peas – can o’ peas?’ – One of us is crazy … and it’s not you!”
I saw this one where they were filling out the tax form.
They used all the terms and schemes we use today. See Shemp add up the math using the buttons on his vest and shirt and his ear and the paper comes out his mouth...

The 3 Stooges 1954 - Income Tax Sappy
Tax cheats Moe, Larry, and Shemp decide they’re so good at cheating the government, that they start a business as crooked tax advisors. They become rich, but an undercover agent from the IRS gets the goods on them, and it’s off to jail for the Stooges.
Curly : “Hey Moe, ya know what I think?’’
Moe; “Listen chowderhead every time you think you weaken the nation!’’.
