I don’t have a good memory for dates and I think I was more of a spectator at that time. It was well before the election, we were berated often for not thinking Pence walked on water. You’ll see those and will be close.

I remember quite well how she treated some, but not entirely sure about dates. I will fill you in privately if you want to contact me, but it’s only if you want to know, as it matters not one way or the other to me. I can tell you that it was certainly during the rallies of 2016 when we were all having fun getting together every day, sometimes 3 times a day for all of Trump’s rallies. Nikos would post trivia about each location of each rally, we’d talk about the food we were having for the rally, we’d yap about the speech as it was unfolding, watching for “the plane” was particularly fun. We were so much a big happy bunch of Trump lovers back then.
Rusty, I’m pretty sure, was one of her victims as well. But she seemed to really have a bee in her bonnet for me, for some reason. Perhaps I just had too much fun for her liking.

Jesus said to speak the truth, in love. He also said we are to be slow to be offended. Scripture also says that the words of someone in despair belong to the wind.
What I take from that is to let minor things that really don’t matter go by the wayside. If someone says something that you could take the wrong way, chose not to take it that way rather than building strife. I also think it means to consider the source. If someone is sick or in pain or just hurting and they say some things they shouldn’t, their circumstances should be taken into account. If someone is elderly and alone and doesn’t have the patience and finesse that they once had, perhaps we should consider that we may be just the same way by the time we reach their age, and give them some grace.
Speaking the truth in love comes into play, IMHO, when something reaches a point where it’s time to speak up. That’s when you honestly tell someone what they’ve said or done is wrong, tell them why (if they don’t know) and open the door for them to make things right. Usually that involves acknowledgment of the offence, sincere regret, humble apology, not committing the offence again (to the best of their ability) and welcoming restoration.
I think all of the sweeping it under the carpet and hoping everyone just says nothing is the perfect description of dysfunction, not to mention a bit cowardly...the easy way to avoid confronting a problem.

The past ten days I have felt like Captain Kangaroo having Bunny Rabbit and Mr Moose rain ping pong balls down on him nonstop. Life is coming at us pretty dang fast these days.

When we were all on the Trump Train? And that’s when we first brought Jeeves along? And then, because some of us are older, Jeeves then asked Jeeves the Elder to tag along? Lol and he and I snuck away to the caboose and got up on a couple of hospital beds and had IVs with wine hooked up to us and fell asleep? Weren’t those the rally days when our favorite president was running for office?
And I’m sure that’s when the whole Trump Train really started chugging along. Dolly posted the thread for awhile, and, IIRC, it used to be weekly. Remember joking about everyone pitching in and buying an island to inhabit? Everyone was going to bring their own skillset....I was going to make the pies. That may have been a little after rally days and into presidency.
I’d try and find it, but it seems like too much effort lol.

Snow? Us? Ohs noes! Say it isn’t so! I see we have some rough weather headed our way later today for a few days, but it seems to be rain and wind. There is snow, but mostly north of us. I’m just south of Hamilton, Ontario.
I’m ready though - got everything on the decks tucked away for the winter, plants emptied, fire table covered, furniture all tarped. Propane tanks are full, there’s a small mountain of yarn for my knitting projects....so I’m all ready for my hibernation. Now if only I’d stop eating for the winter and wake up 50 pounds lighter in the spring!

Though the memories are unpleasant, I don’t think any of us give it a moment’s thought any longer, unless we hear some sob story about her. Other than that, she’s never thought of, at least with me. That’s why I suggested to Starlit that if she doesn’t want to be reminded of how nasty her friend was to some of us, just stop mentioning her. We sure won’t bring her up!

60 Minutes? So, if the Vice President didn’t have the power to act (Sending votes back to Legislatures for rechecking and rapid approval, UNLESS THEY FOUND FRAUD, OR SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE VOTE COUNTING!), why did the RINOS & Democrats get together and CHANGE THE LAW so that (A) Vice President in the future wouldn’t do what these people said he couldn’t do? If he couldn’t do it, they would not have changed the law. Those same people would have told you, but only AFTER the Election, that a V.P. HAD the right to send them back to the States for recertification, and they didn’t like that, so they changed the law, taking away that right. I disagree because if Fraud is found, fix it! 60 Minutes: “Last year, Democrats and Republicans past an Electoral Count Law. It now CLARIFIES a Vice President’s role is to read, not judge, the votes.” The fact that they had to CLARIFY THE LAW means that there was UNCERTAINTY, which means that it was open to INTERPRETATION. It could have been done!
