The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority says:
“together, these projects total nearly 2,500 megawatts, enough to power 1.3 million homes. . . .”
2,500 divided by 1.3 is about 1923. So each home would get 1923 watts. A hair dryer uses 1875 watts. I have a 16,000 watt gas backup generator which is still not enough to run central air conditioning. When your government takes your money and lies about what they are doing with it, we have a serious problem. The money is going to corrupt government officials, there is no other explanation (e.g. Bob Menendez, probably he is the tip of the iceberg)

Ten years is the max. I was associated (Pilot car) with a project in WV. Those were replaced after seven.

IMHO the only thing that makes sense to me regarding the use of energy is for the government to give a tax incentive to reduce their energy consumption.

Meaning give tax payers incentives to insulate existing homes various ways. This gives a person a DIRECT INCENTIVE that makes the ROI very quick. Instead of the past when these tax incentives were 30%, make them 50% or more for lower income tax payers. Make it up to 75% for people making under $75K annually for a family. The tax incentive also should be given to landlords.

This also stimulates the US economy. That is because most items like exterior doors, windows, insulation, high efficiency furnaces, water heaters and the companies that install them are all located in the USA & Canada. The people that do the installation of these products are also blue collar jobs.

I’m a restoration volunteer on Battleship Texas. I’ve spent many hours needle gunning paint and rust of the old girl. It’s a never ending battle.
