To the best of my recollection ... it WAS a long time ago, at least 15 or so years ago ... the mugs were a “reward” for a certain level of donation to FR. I’m not sure if it was an individual doing it or if it was a FR promotion. I think it was the same with the mousepad, but I may have sent the logo in to Zazzle and they added a colored FR logo to a blank mousepad.

I have a FreeRepublic.com polo shirt. White with red and black trim on the sleeves and collar and FreeRepublic.com embroidered in red where the logo usually goes on the chest. The brand of the shirt is Port Authority On Tour. My parents gave it to me on the Christmas after the March for Justice. (My late father and I went to D.C. together that day). I don’t know where they got the shirt but it is one of my most prized possessions. I also have some anti-Clinton buttons I bought at the March for Justice that day. They say, “Clinton. Sodomy. Pervert” on them. They aren’t FreeRepublic merchandise, though.
