After having spent a winter working grave shift on the flight line in Minot ND, a summer at Ellsworth AFB(SD) and a summer at Minot, I decided to never live more than 50 miles away from a large body of saltwater.
I grew up in southeast LA county in California. Spent 22 years in WA state Seattle area, and have been on the rural Hamakua coast of the Big island of Hawaii for 23 years.
I’m not a Democrat! I just can’t seem to escape them.
All these places are expensive and pretty much the same cost to live once it is all said and done.
Hamakua coast is the most comfortable and free from volcano eruptions. High today will be 81 degrees and 60% humidity.
My house has no heating or air conditioning, I don’t need it. Almost always a gentle breeze from the East and we leave sliding glass doors and windows open year round.
Nearest Walmart is 45 miles away.
The trick to living in Hawaii is no debt. Pay cash for your property and home.
Williston and Minot always whining about how cold it was.
At Ross ND it was always about ten degrees colder
good idea to build a mosque as far away as possible from the hinges of hell.
A mosque...just outside of Ross
