I never doubted the moon landing for a second up until recently. The video lays out evidence for exactly this conclusion. I still cannot completely rationalize the Soviet Response and the conspiracy of silence arguments, however they are worth a second look…

When people lose faith in their institutions, they are much more likely to turn to conspiracy theories, no matter how wild or implausible. Look at all the stuff posted here on FR by the Q crowd, and lots of Freepers lap it right up. We used to laugh this stuff off FR back in the old days.

The videos lie and deceive. I am a space systems guy. No way on God’s green Earth was the moon landing faked.
My father worked on the imaging systems that were used on the moon. I saw them being built in clean rooms at his place of work during family days.
Faking one moon shot would have been risky. Each additional fake launch would have put the chances of being found out nearer and nearer 100%. And one of the magician's cardinal rules is never to perform the same trick more than once for the same audience, because each new presentation manifestly increases the odds of somebody figuring out the secret. If Apollo 11 accomplished JFK's goal, why risk screwing up that success with half a dozen more moon shots?
If you fake the moon shots, how do you fake the recovery, which involved hundreds of naval vessels and thousands of sailors, recovering the capsule at sea, and which was televised live? They like, what, put astronauts out in the sea in a capsule that kinda floated (ask Gus Grissom) like the night before, and left it there until the Navy managed to find it?

This of course is meaningless to the science illiterate who wouldn't know a Hohmann transfer from a subway token and can't comprehend how it was done, ergo it HAD TO BE a conspiracy. Just like 9/11.
