Hollywood died for me with The Last Jedi. Over 5 years ago now. No more ever and I haven’t felt I missed anything.

The marketing was very bait and switch, even by Hollywood standards. Trailer made it seem like the big twist was going to be Barbie’s existential crisis (”You guys ever think about dying?”, which I’m sure does play a role. But it’s really a “Men are bad” movie.
Wasn’t going to see it before. This just cements that. But many will be fooled.
Same. No interest whatsoever. Vaguely remember playing with those dolls once or twice as a kid. May have been at a friend’s house. I was more into baby dolls with bottles and cute little dresses, carriage and bed.

Absolutely. But the wife and I are gonna wait till mid-week when the lines die down.
And I don’t care about that man-card BS. I’m an artist and a former videographer. A good movie is a good movie.

Neither am I, and my generation was among the first to love Barbie. Another example of the fact that liberals ruin everything they touch.

I have a niece who said she was going to see it to me. When I talked to her again yesterday she said she had already seen it twice now and was planning to see it again. That might explain that. Those who love it love it long time. It’s clearly not a bomb and my niece said some takes misinterpret it at least from her point of view. Zero plans for me to ever view it however.
