I had a doc examining me for what turned out to be a nerve issue normally diagnosed with a MRI. He left for a bit and went to do some research, came back and correctly diagnosed me.
That’s why they have medical books and research information.
YouTube Certified! I wonder what the governing medical board thinks of all this?
“I knew a guy who sold orthopedic equipment. Titanium objects, screws, etc that go into human bodies. He was a twenty something year old dude going into the operating room SHOWING the SURGEON how to do the procedure.”
one of those doctor TV series had an episode exactly like that 30 years ago ...
I am all for a doc ( or pilot or whatever) checking a reference, but I doubt that YT is considered reliable medical reference material.
i fixed many of things that way!! Youtube DIY is da bomb!!
surgery!!?? how hard could it be!!??
Better safe than sorry. Lots of surgeons watch operations the night before they do one.
I was able to fix my dryer twice by watching YouTube videos.
A good pilot always uses a checklist. It shows his professionalism.
I suffered a small fracture in my ankle but couldn’t afford to take off time from work- I am a security guard- so I got my combat boots and had to make cuts in the foot part of the relevant one to accommodate the swelling, then laced it up tightly and went to work. I continued that way for a month or so (at work) until the swelling went down then loosened it up. It has been like normal ever since. I did eventually get it x-rayed at my wife’s insistence and it showed a healed fracture.
Cardiologist, nah. BUT in the ER for a sprain, why not?
Billboards for Millennials. Oy vey. :(
