You know Charles is stupid. He attended Auburn, that academically challenged and low-level junior college.
Looks like Charles has the hots for Dylan Mulvaney.
Charles is a pretty well known conservative, actually.
Their “redneck” critics are the 99% of their base that drink their shit product. Lots of those ‘rednecks’ think men dressing up as women is a sign impending mental collapse and/or morally wrong. Sorry Chuck.
Always the contrarian, Charles continues to say whatever it takes to get some air time.
Knowing who people are, and why they are known is not a sin. It’s actually an important function of being a member of society.
It doesn’t mean you agree with them, or enjoy their particular skills.
Unfortunately my inherent white privilege prevents me from giving a rats ass about anything a black person has to say.
Chuck likes to pretend hes the anti NBA voice of ex NBA players.....
I wonder what Chuck would think if a 7 foot 3, 280lb man threw on a wig and joined the WNBA.....
Who cares what “intellectual” Barkley thinks? He’s a basketball player turned pundit on basketball; he should stick to his basketball.
Proving yet again just how racist Black Democrats are.
Never as smart as folks thought
“I’ve been a Democrat all my life,” Barkley said,
Only in the vermont bath houses, actually.
Ad hominem attack. Nice.
I guess Jim’s admonition failed to get your attention.
Try to be better.
I remember Barkley throwing a guy through a plate glass window in Orlando back when he was still playing.
Years ago Charles was a republican and his mama confronted him saying that’s the party of the rich and he replied with “I AM rich mama!” Or so the story goes.
And one more thing, I’ve seen your swing Chuck and that ain’t golf you’re playing!
He has spoken positively about conservatives in the past. But that’s not even my point.
I agree that looking up to anyone for their opinion on stuff outside their realm of expertise is a bad plan. Charles could certainly speak about basketball—and I like him for that. What he thinks about politics carries no more weight than they kid bagging groceries at the local grocery store.
Reporters who write this stuff do so to get a reaction. Clearly that has worked. Often times the “news” is derived from a very small slice of the original comments.
Charles just set up a foundation to pay for kids’ college. Actions like that say more about the man than some silly throwaway comment.
I used to work in basketball circles. I’ve met the man several times. He was always nice and approachable. He respected the work I was doing and did what he could to make sure I got my stuff done. Not all of them (Basketball stars)are like that.
I think as a culture we need to stop trying to glean character from a throwaway sentence at a party.
Of course, and referring to them as reporters is generous.
It would only be an ad hominem attack if I said you were in the bath house with him...were you?
You are pretty sensitive, for a stiff necked Lt.
