“Sound of Freedom,” a religious thriller

Already throwing their OPINION into a review.

Since when is freeing children from being sex slaves a religious view? (Many ‘religions’ actually condone and demand children be your sex slave).

Utter tripe.

God, please just come soon and get this over with down here. We’re done.

I don’t understand why “Sound of Freedom” is described as faith-based and religious. Can anyone explain?

Yep, the writer goes out of her way to make the movie sound religious.

I'll hazard a guess that it's described that way as a subtle dig, in order to dissuade young, woke, and the otherwise Leftist-inclined to avoid it. ("oh, it's just some religious thing, nevermind").

Spot on. This would be my guess too.

The movie is religious.

There is not only the quote from the Bible mentioned above, about the millstone, but also the refrain “God’s children are not for sale,” which is repeated near the end of the movie and to my mind is the theme.

Also, deeper than any words in the script, are the faith and heroism of the good guys. They are willing to die for this, it is clear. They would be martyrs if they had to be. Don’t ignore the fact that the main character is named Tim, and the Saint Timothy medal is a refrain throughout.

Go to see it. If it affects you the way it is supposed to, you will be a changed person. If it doesn’t, you haven’t really lost anything—just admire the acting.

Doesn’t sound overtly religious to me. The writer calls the film “faith-based” and a “religious thriller,” both of which seem overstated given what I’ve read about it.
