My opinion is strictly based on many years of experience. Not simply a personal opinion.

And yet, she wasn't charge with negligent operation of the vehicle. What does your many years of experience tell you about that?

Again, are you suggesting the cops conspired with the tow driver to lie and report that the tow vehicle’s lights were activated?

Nope. People make mistakes.

Nope. People make mistakes. Memory is faulty. That's why eyewitness accounts are the most unreliable form of evidence.

People make mistakes.

I see, so upwards of 8+ cops in addition to others who were on scene conducting an investigation from the previous collision, were all simply mistaken.. lol...C'mon.

You refuse to believe the police and witness reports that are now all over the media...And even though you were not on scene, you believe all those cops and others are all mistaken.

Not buying that, no sale.

You believe she was negligent even though she wasn't charged by any of the cops who were on the scene.

I'm still waiting for you to post a pic of a roll-back wrecker with emergency lights recessed in the back of the bed.

I think it’s possible the tow truck had a modern light bar with directional lights set to flash only towards the rear. If that’s the case then it could explain why the police report says the lights were on yet they don’t appear in the video.

A quick google does pull up some LED light bars whose front and rear lights are separately controllable:

Thanks for the link.

One news report states that the wrecker didn't have overhead lights, which is why they aren't visible in the video.

From: A driver's car soared 120 feet after vaulting off of a tow truck's ramp in Georgia

The tow truck had its emergency lights on as it sat in the left lane, according to the incident report. That detail is not obvious from the video, as the vehicle doesn't have warning lights on its roof.

Unless the truck had some sort of emergency lights mounted somewhere on the bed that aren't visible from the front, it sounds to me like the driver might have been using his ordinary emergency flashers on the chassis-mounted lights. Of course, the front parking lights aren't flashing, so this doesn't seem likely.

As you suggest, he may have special lighting where he can illuminate only the rear-facing lights, but they would have to be mounted somewhere so the raised bed doesn't obscure them from the rear.

I'm not saying there is collusion between the police and tow truck driver. All I'm saying is that there is a contradiction between what's been said is in the incident report and what we're seeing on the video.

You believe she was negligent

Yes I do. If she wasn't negligent why did she intentionally launch herself off a big truck???

I know why!!! ☺

She never saw the big truck because she was gawking at all the people, cops, pretty lights, firetrucks and rescue vehicles in the opposing lanes.

This is not complex. Will she get anything? Who knows, maybe sympathy settlement to make this aloof flying fool go away, then send the dangerous dummy on her way.

I can’t see the rear end of this truck. Can you??

And if you can, can you send me some pics/links of this specific vehicle? Thanks.

That's correct, very possible. And the reason they don't appear in the video is because WE can't see the rear of this vehicle in images or the video.

Btw, most drivers in the towing biz know all too well about the dangers of being out there working in traffic. Most have seen a lot of bad stuff. Most of them take all the precautions available.

In places like CA and others, members of the road crews, CALTRANS etc get killed all the time. And they wear Hi Visibility vests. In fact, 3 or 4 or killed in the same incident a few months ago...People don’t pay attention or slow down when there is clear and present danger or safety issues ahead.

It’s why when there is a collision, the chances of a secondary collision occurring are good. Why? Because people are staring at the first collisions and not paying attention to where they’re driving. In places like LA area this happens daily and multiple times per day.
