It's not a crime to be poor.
I get it she can't afford a car. I get it she maybe even could not get those special baby seats for bikes. I believe there are kind can be hitched up to a bike like a wagon and she could put the babies in, maybe she did not think of this, don't know.
What I can't stand is mothers who only but their babies in pampers and call that "clothing". That is so trailer park. Put them in a onesie at a bonnet if taking them out in the sun like that!
Up where I live, those trailers are about $500. Maybe one of these concerned people could have bought her a baby trailer?
If it was on the Monon Trail, then it’s abounding with upper-middle class progs instead of people living their moral code.
I found one at Wal Mart that doubles as a Pram. It’s only $149.00
That’s a good deal.
The bias of these people is that they don’t think the poor should have children at all.
The woman needs help and knowledge on how to care for children, not jail for a year.
How does that help?
if you can’t afford to take care of them properly, then no, she should not have children.
Where’s the Father?
These babies will be MUCH better off in the care of Child Protective Services. How long before we see them in child pedo movies posted online by their two foster dads? But, at least they aren’t sunburned.
Exactly. She did not abort them or throw them in a dumpster.
This woman needed help and support, not to have her children ripped away and dumped in a jail cell.
Where was Papa? In a jail cell?
Exactly.
People have misfortunes. She might have been in a better position at an earlier point in life. Do you suggest she eliminate her children because of her poverty?
so you think she had her act together 11 months ago? I don’t believe that.
My husband is one of 12 children. They all lived and became good hard-working adults. My grandfather was one of 13 from a very poor family. Most of the 13 became rich. Their children now number doctors, lawyers, teachers, bankers, IT nerds and regular hard-working productive people. There were times when getting enough food was hard and at times the home was truly a shack. I am so glad I am alive because by your standards not one soul would be alive.
A lot of people out there don’t have and can’t get “only” $149.
So you want poor people bred out and to die off. Got it.
i don’t have an answer for you- it’s irresponsible to reproduce when you can’t even afford to buy a bra.
Clearly you are okay with it and that’s good for you.
“That is so trailer park”
FYI, there are tens of thousands of trailer parks in this country and you are insulting them as being second rate citizens. Not everybody can afford a nice house in todays market and these parks fill a big need.
There is a trailer park in South Florida where the residents have been offered over 50 million for their property and refuse to sell.
This poor woman needed help not jail, what a screwed up system that is. Then to take her kids away and probably put them into a gay foster home, of which there are many, is just insanity.
The fact that the children didn’t have any clothes on indicates that the mother could not buy any, at least they weren’t naked.
It may save the life of the children. When I see someone with a trailer with children on the back, I wince. The kids invariably look miserable, and in danger, and the parents generally look quite prosperous.
