My F-I-L is going through a very similar situation... tough stuff to deal with, especially for my M-I-L... aside from the dementia, he is pretty healthy, except for severe hearing loss... makes it tough to communicate...
Keep 🙏🏼 and trying to be as supportive as you can...

My late Unreal Brother (not to be confused with my Real Brother who is still living) passed away from Lewy Body Dementia, suffering for over three years with it. It didn’t have much meaning to me until the day we were talking on the phone and he said, “Who did you say you are?” It broke my heart.
I was relieved when he passed, but not any more than those who had to care for him. He’s free, now, and has his mind back.

I’m not sure what kind of dementia he has... but we did notice this, very soon after he got his two covid ‘shots’ his cognitive decline plunged...
some of the older folks in our area (they are in their late 80s or early 90s) all got real scared of covid and couldn’t wait to get the ‘shots’ and did. They didn’t listen to the rest of us... and we have seen a marked decline in all of them on the cognitive front from before they got jabbed... very sad to watch...
thankfully my M-I-L was suspicious and did not get any... she still has her faculties...
Just of few days of sun would be great for the vegetables.
My F-I-L has the hearing loss, but fortunately my M-I-L isn’t much better so she just looks at him and nods.
I hope that's not how it works. I'm hoping for a much better one.

Yes, both of them use high powered hearing aids…. except when they forget to put them in…. Car rides are very fun…. Lots of screaming from the front and back seats.. 😂

I got the steroids yesterday, and now I don’t know what to expect or when to expect it. It’s been a long time since I took this medication.
I’ll need to get dressed in a bit. I’d rather be a slug, but ohwell.
Not bad, thanks. We went kayaking yesterday evening, and various things hurt, but not very much. Mostly my right foot and ankle, from walking to the river and back in flip-flops. I used to have a pair of knockoff crocs, which were better, but I can only find one, now.

Walmart always has knockoff crocs. Just, FYI. They seem to be the footwear du jour in some places.
Sorry about your foot and ankle. That’s gotta be bad, after not having had to deal with that kind of pain for a while. Do you have any meds left over for it?
I’d love to go kayaking, but my big dream now is to go sky diving for my next birthday. Big ideas and all that. Maybe I’ll look into it when I get back West... All I can think of is the rush I’ll get!

One of those times when a word popped into my mind and it was the right one. Sometimes I’ll think of a word and be so far off the mark it isn’t funny. Those are the days I wonder why I even play this game.
It’s annoying. I’ll take some Naproxen and wear my boots today.
