That’s great! I’m glad she had a good time.
I expect most of our Scouts will earn about 2 merit badges each. We have several first-time campers this year, so we’ll see!
w00t!
I hope it works out well for everyone, and you get good weather. At Day Camp, where we were all staff, it rained every day and every night. The troops that were at the Boy Scout Camp in the mountains that week had a miserable time.
Halp!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night. How did the committee meeting go? Did it keep you up very late?
I got a text from Pam at 2000 saying she was bringing donuts and what kind did I like? When she gets here, I’ll have to educate her on the types of donuts, since I worked in a donut shop and she seemed totally at sea when I told her “chocolate glazed.” I don’t know how long she will stay, but any help is appreciated.
As is usual with Monday nights, I was asleep early, so her text woke me up. Normally, I’d get up and come out here for two hours until I got sleepy again, but I slogged through the texts, and fell back asleep. Only to wake up a little after 0400. *sheesh*
But I’m here to greet the day! Such as it is.
Good morning. I got home at 9:45. The Spanish Volunteers do go on and on! Useful meeting, though. I have the Stewardship Commission tonight. I try to wrap that up by 8:30.
DP took the kids to the pool last night, and Kathleen finished her last requirement for Swimming Merit Badge. When she gets up, I’ll help her compose a message to her Scoutmaster.
Jake was feeling needy last night. It was annoying. Hopefully I can get a nap after my haircut.
Good morning. Happy Twosday!
I said, “We’ll get stuck.” “Don’t worry about it,” you said. “We’ll be fine. Do you EVER listen to me? No. Now what are we gonna do?”
I don’t think I remembered yesterday to mention that we’d streamed “Jesus Revolution” on Sunday. A+ for that movie. I can understand why Kelsey Grammar could barely talk about the experience without crying. I hadn’t realized how much streaming movies had gone up, but this was worth it.
Much better Wordle today. Almost enough to make me forget that 1917 thing. Almost...

Good Morning!
I had not heard about a new Kelsey Grammar movie... what platform did you find it on?
Funny thing is, today’s Wordle answer was one of my old starter words that I gave up on long ago... that is why I will never get a one row solution...

They have some very pretty chickens at the stable where Daughter D goes. Sometimes they hang around me, clucking, while she rides.
Good for Kathleen finishing her merit badge requirement!
And BOO to Jake for keeping the Human awake last night.
I got the laundry stuff folded and put away, then made the bed, and sorted some boxes. I don’t know where Pam wants to start, but where I finished is a good place, I think. At least, the place I finished in the living room. I’ll do the kitchen.
While she’s packing in the living room, I can be finishing the job of taking the DVDs out of their cases and putting them into envelopes so I can put them into the DVD boxes. Cuts down on the packing space. And yes, I have a list of movies!
I found Jesus Revolution on Google Play Movies. It’s also on Amazon and at the Redbox.
I don’t subscribe to any services.
It’s an historical dramatization of the start of the Jesus Freaks movement in the 1970s. There’s some really good stuff in it about how Chuck Smith, Lonnie Frisbee, and Greg Laurie came together to allow something unexpected to happen. Time put “Jesus Revolution” on the cover after reporting on all of it.
Are these Sapphire Gems large chickens? My friend bought a blue hen, and I don’t recall the name, but it looked like the ones I found online. I don’t know if she still has it, because I don’t know the life-span, but it was bigger than her other chickens. Really gorgeous, too! (This was probably seven years ago.)
Thanks, we’ll have to look on Amazon...
I don’t think that they will be exceptionally large, ours are about 9 months old at this point, and look to be mid-sized hens...
Hoo boy, what a morning!
Pam came over and it soon became apparent that I was to build boxes while she packed. She had booked a solid two and a half hours just for me. I couldn’t build the boxes as fast as she could fill them. She’s going to be a problem in the closet, because she wants to use clothing to stuff in holes everywhere.
It makes the boxes bulge and takes away from their integrity and I don’t know how to tell her not to do it. She won’t be back until next week, so I’ll have time to pack some things I don’t want her to pack.
My bad.
Anyway, she made a mess of this place. No books on shelves, nothing on the walls...good job. And I was in the wrong chair and my back was killing me. It will all be done on time, though.
When they come to load the truck it will be loaded in time, and we can leave that day.
