Floyd was going to have a narcotic induced heart attack that day. The police got to him first and got the blame.

Of course he did at several times thru out the situation. Overall, that position inhibits the circulatory system. Even a healthy person will suffer in a similar restraint. The point of the position isn't to create a optimal situation for the person being restrained. The bulging eyes and snoring classic examples of circulatory system being restrained.

We will all end up with government on our neck at this point. Part of diffusing the situation would have simply put the suspect upright against the vehicle or wall. That would have helped diffuse the crowd and provide feedback for any rescue attempts on the suspect.

You’re talking about a sleeper hold where both carotid arteries are compressed. That isn’t what Chauvin did. If anything, he was using minimum force, considering what he was dealing with.

Fentanyl overdose. Lungs fill with fluid from racing heart rate not clearing enough blood to filter through the kidneys. A form of induced right sided heart failure.

Medical literature on overdose, and clinical colleagues post mortems. The fluid build up prevents normal oxygenation of blood and thus anoxia presents, blackout and death.

longer term non-injected fentanyl dosing/non-clearance of metabolites leads to a form of induced pulmonary edema (lungs flood with non-filtered/excreted water/solubles) result being that pronounced anoxia (a-oxygenation) aggravates the already contracted cardiac blood supply (with poorly oxygenated blood resulting from the non-absorption of oxygen from outside air/lungs to the blood).

Some analysis (non-court) of audio states that rales— rattling gurgling sounds from the lungs can be heard from the individual. If the build up of fluid continues to within the pericardial sac— death is rather rapidly to follow without a pericardial syringe draw off of the fluid constraining the heart motion.

I suggest we forget about Floyd and get on with life. The man’s dead. End of story.

Truthfully, I really do not care. He’s dead, that’s what counts.

I do not agree.

The cops were surrounded by a hostile mob, which definitely impacted their decisions.

Floyd would not have died that day...

(1) If Floyd had simply told the truth about taking fentanyl.

(2) If Floyd had simply obeyed the lawful instructions of the Police to get in the back seat of a patrol car.

(3) If Floyd had not committed a felony attempting to pass a counterfeit bill.

(4) And, if hundreds of thousands of other USA criminals had not previously lied about not being able to breath.

I will go with the medical examiner’s conclusion.

My belief has nothing to do with it.

Neither.

He died accidentally as a result of lawful restraint necessary to detain him for (yet another) crime.

After watching the videos when his death first hit the media and the ones linked in this thread, I still have questions.

I’m still curious.

However, he did not pay any due attention to ensure non-harm to Floyd.

It was negligent homicide, imo., Jonty, the autopsy was provided for you to read it. Try it again, actually read it and use a little reason this time. I don't think that the officer was there to ensure that George did not take the THC, meth or Fentanyl.

I said it was negligent homicide. I am familiar that Floyd was hopped up on enough fentanyl to kill him.

It was still Chauvin’s duty to ensure that his actions did not contribute to the death. Chauvin did not do that.

That’s what the the charge of negligent homicide means, a failure to do one’s diligent duty to ensure your actions, as harmless as it may be on its own, does not contribute to the death of another.

Chauvin failed to use discernment in the situation. That doesn’t mean I think he should spend 20 years in prison, however.

Just imagine if the store owner hadn’t called the police on George Floyd for trying to pass counterfeit money.
George would have simply gotten in his car and driven away, then a few minutes later his fentanyl cocktail would have kicked in and there are lots of possibilities after that, like whether he would have T boned a schoolbus full of children, or possibly made it onto the freeway where he could drive head on into a minivan driven by a pregnant woman with six children on their way to a park. Or the best case scenario that he park his car safely grab his chest and just die. George Floyd committed suicide by drug. And Epstein didn’t kill himself.

The tattoos are described in the autopsy report.

“From Kayos Rises Order” isn’t one of them.
