The first time I was in Rome, many years ago, I went to the Vatican Museum and after leaving had to pass by a lot of people begging for money--many if not all of them were gypsies. Some would be holding a baby (who knows if it was their child). I remember one was supposedly collecting money to fight cancer in children. Right--like the money would go to that cause.
Gypsies begging people for money are a pest in Greece too, at least they were the last time I was there. It's easy to see why they are unpopular.

Derby is barely a notch above Ansonia, and trending down.
Yes, but most panhandlers like to be near highways, Derby is not close to the Merritt, 84 or 95.
A notch above Ansonia is three notches above Meriden, four above Waterbury, and five above Bridgeport.

I was actually surprised when I saw a $10 bill in my wallet, I wonder how long it’s been there.Yeah, right? I’ve got a $10 bill in my junk drawer I’ve been meaning to spend but never get around to it.
Oddly enough, I do have €40 in my wallet, folded up in a corner where it’s remained untouched since 2012.
