I used to work in law enforcement. Crime statistics are manipulated almost everywhere for various reasons. One big reason is communities trying to lure big corporations to open up shop. Low crime rates are always part of that equation. But I watched my community “massage” crime stats to make it look safer in my community. The school district won state & national recognition for being a “drug free” school. Yet drugs were rampant. Their way of massaging stats was they confiscated drug from kids but never reported it to police. At one time the principal had boxes and boxes of drugs taken from kids. They just finally threw it away. Bottom line, never trust low crime stats. They are likely fake.
True. Talk with any officer, be they sheriff’s or city. They just don’t write up a lot because the great voters have chosen leniency in their fantastic ideological sacred bleeding heart beliefs.
So, even though the boys in blue and green want to do somethihng, by law they can’t.
So all those crimes normally put on the books are just papers shuffled into a file and never go to court if they’re written at all.
Sacramento and the cities are all happy, mission accomplished, they get a raise. Until of course the assaults happen to them like Bill Lee and the other guy. But the damage is done.

I haven’t been in a few years but used to spend a lot of time there. I had noticed that there were a few people as you describe but it it must have gotten much worse. Idiots paying millions to own homes there.
Thank you. That explains a lot. Like why Uvalde school district has its own PD, and why they aren’t capable of law enforcement.
