As some of you may know, the most recent National Defense Authorization Act included indemnity for former service members and contractors who had previously been prohibited from speaking by NDAs to come forth and speak to Congressional Intel Committees
in classified briefings.
The USAF has been the greatest enemy of transparency, threatening even civilians with ruin if they spoke of their experiences (whether sightings or abductions).
This doesn't mean that the USAFOSI won't still try to shut people up behind the scenes, but it is a start.
At least so far, the flood gates are opening.

Exactly - look in opposite direction to find out what is being released that they don’t want people to notice...

Is Bob Lazar one of the whistleblowers?

You're certainly welcome to your own opinion, but that "shiny thing" idea has long since drifted into oblivion.
It's the kind of comment only made by people who don't stay abreast of the news.
BTW, up till now, any mention of this shiny thing by civilians got them labeled as quacks. Hardly a shiny thing, eh?
And any mention by people in the military got them sent to the base psychiatrist and threatened with a medical discharge.
How's that shiny thing concept applicable there?
A "shiny thing" is supposed to be a distraction...not a ticket to the nut house.

I think there are too many questions about his credentials to give his stories legs.
Not saying he's telling the truth or fabricating tales. He's an enigma.

There is no news anymore. There is only state issued content driven by paid content influencers. Those same content influencers also spike anything which is news from outside approved content sources.
Then of course there is us....;)

They also want answers on allegations that UFOs have in some way interacted with nuclear weapons¯

Heheh. True.
That said, I know people who have seen things up close and personal.
Now, who knows what the hell they saw, but...? Perhaps it was some kind of mass hypnosis or a mushroom that got slipped into their dinner.
The internet connects people and when they learn that other people have had similar experiences, they are empowered. So people who are in the thick of this moving story are saying that there has been a shift in momentum.
The military is pissed because Congress pulled a fast one (with this new indemnity). They are naturally worried that the story (whatever it is) is slipping out of their control.
I don't know what this is. I am just always captivated by a mystery. But as a lot of former military people going public with their experiences say, "whatever it is, it is something quite real." Entire ships have seen "things" and the things seen were concurrently picked up by multiple sensors.
As for me, I'll wait for more evidence, even if it is only anecdotal.

I'm too busy memorizing pronouns to be worried about some UFO or black hole sucking the life outta planet Earth.
