I’m all for that. We regularly walk in a park and have had near heart attacks caused by cars going by and dogs barking as they go by. Scares the snot our of us everytime.

Deep blue Broward County seems to have an overabundance of low IQ virtue signalers.

It would be a disaster of epoch proportions if a dog got something in his eye by putting his head out the window.

What specific power granted by the Florida Constitution allows this?
None!

I can see the point of everything except the dog putting it’s head out window. Has there ever been a safety issue from that?

I blame it on the pythons and iguanas.

It’s either declawing the cats or putting them to sleep for most homeowners. Just like the ban on horsemeat in the US, there will be adverse consequences.
To: vetvetdoug
Yes. You nailed it completely. Indoor cats really don't need their claws. And people won't adopt cats if they find their expensive furniture is getting torn up. That's reality.

That is so micromanaging. My dog lives to stick his head out the car window.
I thought Florida was a freer state.

“the bill would require dogs be secured in a crate appropriate for the size of the dog while in a motor vehicle on a public roadway, be restrained with a safety harness or seat belt other than a neck restraint, or be under the physical control of someone other than the driver if in a car.”
LOL. Stinks.
To: devane617
I don’t have a problem with dogs sticking their heads out of cars.
Just for God’s sake keep them out of supermarkets, stores, malls, hotels, and restaurants. Keep them leashed in public parks and beaches. Keep them quiet in apartment and condo buildings. And pick up their feces from sidewalks and public spaces.
Oh wait … there are already laws in place for those things, but dog nutters just ignore them.
