They can appear out of nowhere (some say walking through the walls) and take you against your will right out of your bedroom at night.

People who have been abducted (whether real or imagined) are so incredibly traumatized that their very personalities are temporarily erased.

The “High Weirdness” aspect is probably the most important.

I've had extensive conversations with a woman who experienced the "right through the walls" visitations and being transported someplace for examinations. She eventually lost her fear of them. She described the greys as being "auto-mons", something remotely operated by a higher spirit. (1989 time frame)

The greys are described exactly the same way in "Alien Interview" and by a retired MJ-12 spook.

Yes. That is what I hear too.

The way the abductees speak of the grays sounds a lot like Stockholm Syndrome.

And, yes, the grays do seem to either be busy little workers or robots/androids. Many abductees speak of the praying mantis types lurking in the background that seem to be in control.

The mantis were also described in the leadership role by this woman. She said it was quite tall.

I didn't come away from the conversation thinking she had the Stockholm Syndrome. They told her that they were using her genetic material to repair that of other species, and that they were manufacturing yet another species.

She had screamed "you don't have that right" at some point. They responded that they built humans in much the same way and most certainly did have that right. Next she asked, "Well then are you God?". Their response to that was, "No, just a small part of that collective".

Their message is quite similar to that of typical human atheists (like Dawkins or Sam Harris). And there are many instances of their lying and of trickster-like behavior (akin to Jung's trickster archetype).

Not saying that they aren't telling the truth, but I'm not a very trusting sort.;-)

I suggested Stockholm Syndrome because abductees start off being traumatized and terrified (Whitley Strieber even said he was horrifically raped during an abduction) and then morph into semi-supporters...even fans.

Being taken out of your house in the middle of the night against your will isn't exactly a good start for a friendly relationship. But it does soon turn into something of a relationship.

Very true that Keel certainly spoke of it. But it didn't explode until recently.

In fact, I remember when Lue Elizondo first started talking about the Nimitz experience. He refuse to talk about what he called the "woo." He said he thought it confused the issue. Now many (though certainly not all) people following this subject understand that the phenomenon IS the WOO.

Even though you and I know about Keel. I think a lot of people who are new to this issue don't know who he is.

Going back to contactees like Adanski this “religious” aspect has been there from the beginning.

You are right that those critters are of questionable motives and most likely liars. I am pleased that I don’t have to deal with them in any manner. It would be very disappointing indeed to learn that they actually are our creator. At the very least they are deep sociopaths.
