I found it uplifting to hear about last year's Munich conference, in which NATO officials were seemingly euphoric or giddy with the prospect of finally removing Putin and installing a leader they wanted. They seemed as if they couldn't wait and everything was in place.
Contrast that performance with this year's Munich conference wherein they are 'nervous' as things aren't going 'to plan'. They were sure sanctions would implode Russia, but Russia's economy is doing better than theirs. So good to hear the howls of pain in Nato. How close we came to a One World Puppet Regime!
Mercouris continues to agree with those who say that the Ukraine can't win but won't admit its losing.
I was intrigued that there was some indication the Ukrainians are not retreating from Bakmut, for now, because it looks like Zelensky is waiting for Biden's visit? Are they going to pose Biden as a 'peace maker'? I think President Trump is totally living in their heads rent free and they are moving Biden around to make him look presidential. Epic fail.
That triggered a memory.
My Mom and Dad were going out to vote in the 1956 Presidential election. Dad in his grey suit (He was a blue collar man and only got dressed for important occasions), Mom in her dress with hat and gloves.
Little Chucky, being a curious lad, asked them who they were going to vote for.
Dad replied "We always vote Democrat."
"But why? Aren't you going to vote for General Ike?"
And Dad said "Because the Democrats are for the Little Guy".
Then Mom chimed in "Well, I vote Democrat because they pay two dollars and the Republicans only pay one.
Dad, rather sharply - "Don't tell him that!"
Mom, adamantly "Well it's true!"
True story. I was only 7 but the episode really stuck in my mind.
Right with ya
As analogies go this one is pretty good.
Absolutely.
I’m hearing reports that Princess Bha of Thailand has died, but no sawse as of yet.
here’s the latest episodes of the X22 Report:
Ep. 3001b - Cuomo In The Spotlight, Trump Traps Biden, Sometimes Plants Need Water
Ep. 3001a - Trump: Anyone Notice Inflation Is Getting Worse, No Reason This Should Be Happening
Real heat-—yes it does. But if you do the whole math problem you’ll need a lot of zeros. Then remember this in terms of how puny the works of humanity are:
If you add up all the energy humans use: take your monthly power bill, double it to cover farming, manufacturing, etc. then multiply by 6 billion, You get a number that approximates the solar Impact on a county in, oh, say Kansas.
Another fun comparison, slightly related, is to divide the Area of the State of Texas by the 6 billion population. You notice that the hole bunch could each have 4,000 Sq. Ft. to live on in Texas. Then the solar energy that falls on a county in Kansas could power the whole operation.
But you didn’t finish the first problem. Multiply the Square Yardage by 300 watts per Yd. Or step up to megawatts to save zeros.
I once built a I yd parabolic mirror to prove the concept/math. That thing was scary powerful. It could melt a pound of lead in about 20 minutes. It could also fryyourass if you got in front of it while pointed at the sun.
I need a new one. I used to wear “I Like IKE” every four years.
I need to start doing that.
Does Warren Buffett have a piece of the Norfolk Southern? Or does he just insure it?
I was in the 8th grade for the 56 election. I always remember one of my classmates repeating his folks were voting dim because the “Democrats were for the farmer.” Yup, sure they were? They just got thru dumping crops and killing cattle herds to keep prices up. That worked great.
