I’m going to be running my gas fueled truck (even if I have to modify it to burn an alcohol/solvent mixture should gas dissappear) until they shoot it out from under me.
Right you are. Maybe TeslaGaytor had too much Christmas eggnog. Or his tablet broke in half.
“Nobody told me that a winter charge would barely achieve…”
It’s YOUR life and money, genius, you’re supposed to check for yourself.
Did Musk stop payments to his social media teams now that Tweater is a cash flow drain?
“Because, soon, you will not have a choice.”
A few California cities have banned construction of new gas stations. Petaluma is one.

He seems to ignore Richard Hammond's Rimac EV bursting in flames after running off a hill climb course (due to driver error). It took days to extinguish it.
How about that, InstiGator, ICE Public Enemy #1?
[Disclaimer: I own a Tesla]
First, a lot of people buy a Tesla, thinking that they can use the nearest SuperCharger station as their primary charger, and run into long lines of other idiots who do the same. Bad plan—and Tesla does not want you doing that. Get a charger in your home garage, or buy a different car. Second, if you travel with a Tesla, it requires extra planning. You really need to understand the car’s effective range (and how weather affects it), and you need to plan which Superchargers you’re going to use. These people sound like n00bs who don’t understand what they got themselves into.
The Weird thing is that he doesn’t even own an EV.
“”the process for the charging system to “warm” them to accept a charge is extremely hard on the batteries and reduces their life span””
“”lifetime reduction through number of charge/discharge cycles””
Most ‘experts’ say one should not let the batteries fall below a 20% charge, AND only charge to 80%.
Finland announced they have created a supercharger that is suppose to charge the EV in 15 minutes. What almost no one is talking about is the damage done each time you fast-charge. Each fast-charge diminishes the overall life of the battery.
“”Gas powered cars can’t go away without some pretty big innovations””
-Except by big government proclamation. The Ruling Class will no doubt have their own gasoline vehicles ‘just in case.’
Just in case will become ‘just because’ and they will use the internal combustion engine whenever they desire. Anyone questioning their hypocrisy will immediately receive a ‘climate audit’ where all their correct and incorrect energy use will be investigated. There will be daily, weekly, monthly and yearly carbon limits, and woh be to the ones that violate those limits.
There was the time he posted picture of a car in a burned out garage, claiming it was a gas car. But it really was an EV. LOL!
One of these days state govt’s and the feds will realize that as EVs get more popular they will lose revenue.
All those gasoline taxes they will not be collecting.
I wonder how they will respond.
Indiana, and a lot of others already have.
You pay a lot more for your yearly registration fees for evs and plugin hybrids.
Maybe they should try this...
You can always spot the Tesla owners on the dashcam vids on on youtube. How? They ALWAYS tell you.
We’ve had a cold snap here in the Midwest for about a week. I’ve seen a few Teslas limping along the interstate at ~40mph obviously nursing their juice to the next charge station.
You can’t fix stupid.
Best news heard today!
Wake me when it gets to “days” instead of “hours”...
The new Tesla dealership in Boise is about .75 miles from my office. I should stop by and check it out sometime.
... which takes me to my next zillion-dollar idea... pay-to-play ping pong tables alongside the charging stations.
“Because, soon, you will not have a choice. I don’t think so”
If you’re in the West, you won’t have a choice - if you want a newer car, it WILL be electric. And after some amount of time, no more gasoline to buy. Now that they have control of elections, there is no other outcome possible
If you’re not in the West, there is still some hope and, to a large extent, it will based on the outcome in Ukraine.
