Iirc the closest star is like 4.3 light years away.The next closest star, of course.
To put this distance in perspective, if you could scale our sun down to the size of a pea, our closest stellar neighbor, Proxima Centauri would be about the size of a peppercorn.
They would be separated by a distance of 118 miles.
Space is really, really big.
