Yup, and it would have been hard to sink or capsize. All it needed to do was FLOAT.

Easier to construct.

BTW..the experts here that claim is had a bow like a ship forget that in that type of design you need advanced ribbing to make it structurally sound. You would need a keel...the backbone of a ship.

With the prescribed rectangular design you need only to set down trusses with bracing and build the insides so that they support the structure.

These experts havent considered the ancient Chinese designs where they had no bow, so to speak, and they supposed to have built ships at near the thousand foot range and sailed them on the pacific ocean. The problem was with those is that they were nearly impossible to get any speed and were bastards to steer.

——>Your scans are a fantasy from some dark age artists who had no more idea what the ark would have looked like than anyone.

Nope.

John Larsen (geophysicist) performed three dimensional, deep penetration resistivity scans. Absolutely cutting edge science.

Scans of what. What they claim is the ark?

They have no more idea where that thing is than I do. It most likely was similar to the ark of the covenant.

Hey..why dont you do something important and look for where the Temple of Solomon really was. That would be far more easier to discover than Noah’s ark.

There were a lot of ribs in the scans and even externally visualized by removing material.

Jesus and the writers of the OT and NT believed them to be real. Jesus should know. He was there at the beginning.

Yes. It is a boat/ship and it can only be Noah’s ark as described in the bible, coming to rest “upon the mountains of Ararat”.

A cradle Catholic, I was taught that the Bible is divinely inspired and free from substantial moral error, but that it is not a science or history text and should not be taken as such. That leaves a lot of room for everything from simple errors in fact to literary invention. And it is hard for me to believe that written in Old Hebrew script as the essential religious text of a minor, insular people, that the Book of Genesis and the rest of the Old Testament somehow made it to Japan, China, and India, the Americas, and so on as to become the basis for all the world’s flood stories.

If every single fact mentioned in the Bible is true, then I would like to hear, among other things, a believable explanation as to where Noah put the aquariums to preserve the freshwater fish (the floodwater would have been saline) or where the fountains of the great deep (Gen. 7:11) are located.

The Bible is not a science textbook or an almanac. It's a book that describes who God is, what he has done and what he wants us to do through revealed knowledge, narrative history, folk tales and poetry.

https://answersingenesis.org/the-flood/how-did-fish-survive-noahs-flood/

“How did freshwater fish survive in the saltwater oceans?”

There are two possibilities. First, there are many areas in the world today where we see freshwater and salt water together, and the two waters don’t mix. So it’s possible that certain organisms survived in pockets of fresh or salt water. Second, because of natural selection, which creationists accept, organisms today have become very specialized. Organisms at the time of the flood, however, would’ve been much stronger and able to tolerate many more changes than they can today. There’s really no problem at all in answering this question.

The Bible is of course accurate, as far as it goes. It doesn’t need to (or supposed to) provide ALL the details.

The scientists claim that their is “dark matter” in the universe. It only comes about due to their theories it needs to be there in order to hold everything together (using gravity). They can’t see it or measure it, they just put it there to make the calculations work.

Or - it is God holding it all together!

Colossians 1:15-17

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

The story of Adam and Eve, was the story of the family that led to the Savior. The Scripture never says that they were the first or only people created.

There really is no need to throw more Pearls before the swine of unbelievers.

Life or Death is set before us all. Choose life, Choose Christ.

Springs of the great deep burst forth also. Water came from everywhere up/ down/sideways.

At one time what we now know to be the Mediterranean Sea was just a wee pond.

12,800 years ago with the 100 year long, comet debris bombardment from the Taurid meteor swarm (some meteors where 1 mile in diameter), centered on the North American Laurentide Ice sheet, burning off 4% of the world’s vegetation (leaving the foot thick “Black Mat” across the US, S.Am, Europe, and N. Africa), dramatically lowering Earth’s atmospheric oxygen, causing the total extinction of the Mega Fauna, ushering in the coldest period ever with the Younger Dryas, and raising sea level 400 feet world wide.

The Mediterranean was no longer a pond after that.

Cubit was based roughly on the length of a person’s forearm. But this varied from place to place, with the Ancient Egyptian measure giving rise to the use of the meter as the basic measurement.

Nothing ties those occurrences to the same time.

Actually there is a lot of correspondence. That is a rather recent finding so no link.

I am skeptical of the notion that all flood stories relate to a common event,

Around 12,800 years ago sea level rose 400 feet world wide almost over night.

WE people now living, do not have any idea how long Noah’s cubit happened to be.

Au contraire:
“The cubit, generally taken as equal to 18 inches (457 mm), was based on the length of the arm from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger and was considered the equivalent of 6 palms or 2 spans. In some ancient cultures it was as long as 21 inches (531 mm). “
