I would say that she presented a rather colorful opinion on the persons who live and shop in that specific area, and given she was an African-American woman who’d lived there all her life, there was very likely some validity.
Computers other than my own do not like me operating them so I dont self checkout. I always need help, whats the point? I’ll pay a dime more at a local store and drive an extra mile to avoid exactly this type of scene at Wally World. I live in Kansas where Walmart has moved into a few towns, price force the local grocery stores out of competition the jack the prices and cut the service when they are the only show in town. In that case I will drive 30 miles to find what I need. I wish I could exclude sugar from my diet to the same effectivness as I have Walmart.
In our area, we have a choice of Walmart, Winn Dixie or Publix. Publix is going more green with weird products from smaller, more organic companies and getting rid of older companies that have been around for years. Winn Dixie has been getting complicated with their buy 3 get a 20 % discount or 2 for so much $$ that you really don’t save if you take the time to figure it out. It is a jungle out there and for some reason our stores are not fighting for our business.
