There is no valid reason. That's how we know she is lying about it.
She is Australian so she doesn't have a clue that abortion is legal in California, the SCOTUS didn't outlaw abortion and therefore a US Border official would nave no reason to ask about a pregnancy or abortion.
BOLOGNA!!!
they might have a “sterile”area for transit passengers, but then why did my granddaughter who was scehduled on a Manila to Vancouver flight get told she was not allowed on her flight to Canada that had a layover at LAX? She had to rebook (costing money and time since we live four hours from the airport).
She is not a US citizen, but we have since gotten her a long term visitor visa so she can enter the US for short visits so this won’t happen again.
So they are lying about this story. Liars all of them
Since posting, I have realized there may be unexpected angles to this story.
Australia has some fairly strict time limits on abortions.
Every state (they do not call them states) in Australia has its own abortion rules.
It is possible that this woman flew to LA to get a late term abortion.
Also occurring to me, maybe this woman is engaged in birth tourism - flies to LA, has her automatic USA citizen baby, and then she can remain in the USA without the correct visa.
