Lincoln won with 39% of the vote the north counted which didn’t include a number of southern states candidates
Likewise many southern states didn’t have Lincoln on ballot either but I guarantee u the alternate candidates up north would’ve fared better in the north than Lincoln would have in the south
And that the equivalent of todays crazy radical libs were the abolitionists and radical republicans and abolitionist zealots who advocated and funded killing southerner men women and children for their cause from maniacs like john brown to nat turner who chopped 20-30 white southern children into pieces and piled their bodies up like some altar to his idea of social justice and is now revered as a hero by everyone from radical left to many right here even
