Sounds like In-and-Out Burger. Almost always long lines. I dislike their thin fries and the long lines, so don’t visit but one every year or so.
They are still doing so. the one by our house has a really slow always busy drive thru and keeps walk in customers out.
We did Five Guys a couple weeks ago. Hamburger, cheeseburger, small fries, (no drinks). A little over $24.
We were the only two customers in the place. Six staff that we could see. I’d guess they’re making $15/hour. Insane. Also probably won’t go back.
That was a literal LOL and I request your kind permission to let me reuse.
“Lemme have a sip of your $5 shake.”
“OK, go ahead; use my straw. I don’t have cooties.”
“Mmmm... that’s a pretty f’n good shake. But it ain’t worth no fi’dollars...”
“I request your kind permission to let me reuse.”
By all means
So iwent to a bk the other day...a flimsy little thing they call a plain hamburger. Eat it in two bites...3.58. A double whopper 5.85......3.58! They were a dollar item not too long ago...yes fast food used to he fast and cheap. Not so any more on both counts
Sorry, FRiend, can’t help you with that because answering that question would help the FBI, CIA, DHS and NSA narrow down my identity and whereabouts for the past 2 decades.
No thanks. This is supposed to be an anonymous forum and refuse to incriminate myself. 🤪
The only one of those two I visit is Burger King, and it’s only to get their classic chicken sandwich. That’s it.
Did not Burger King go woke? If you go woke you go broke.
That said, I'll still hit Doogles for a "dollar burger" (McChicken anna McDouble) if I'm inna hurry. But that's it.. d:^)
I eat out a heck of a lot less since the covid lockdowns.
That’s right, if I’m going to spend over 20$ for a couple of burgers and fries, I’m going to go to Golden Corral or a Chinese restaurant and eat what I want and as much as I want, and pay just a little more. I can get real food there, not hoofs, tongues, and ears that is considered “meat” in McDonald’s burgers.
“I haven’t gone to a Macdonalds or Burger King in years. If I want a burger, I’ll cook my own”
Yep, McDonald’s seven years ago (had to check out for the one and only time McRib) Burger King 10 years ago, breakfast item. McDonalds could increase sales 30% overnight by bucking the leftist Food Mafia and bring back the Beef Tallow cooked fries.
Wife and I ate at a Wendy’s for lunch the other day. She ordered a half salad and I got a burger combo. Bill came to over $18 for what used to cost $11-13. Also ate at Cracker Barrel while traveling. Breakfast for two plus tip came to over $25. We’ve decided we can no longer afford to eat out unless it’s a special occasion. Looks like Biden economics is taking us back to the early 50’s where there were few fast food restaurants. Given the increased cost of food, government incentives for those choosing not to work, and highly inflated minimum wages I predict we will see a decline in fast food restaurants.
So did Burger King.
But you get free gas at Taco Bell
In and Out giving less fries than usual.
That’s true. There is a McDonalds and a Hardees 2 miles from me. But Wendy’s is 21 miles and Burger King is probably 25.
So at 20 miles a gallon and $4.50 gas, that’s a $9 add to the price of a burger.
