Prayers for her loved ones.
indeed- 72 isn’t that old either- i hope she wasn’t dragged by the car-
You’re right, 72 is not that old. (I’m 72 lol).
Scary - I’m guessing she did get dragged as the car was rolling when she fell, and she was still stuck underneath when help arrived.
I have figured out not to catch a knife that falls out of my hands, but I’m guessing I would have tried to catch up to my truck and try to jump in to step on the brakes as well.
May she Rest In Peace.
Yup- me too- natural reaction i guess- shame she tripped and died though- after having lived all those years- i just had a cousin die in a hit and run- and that was devastating, but this woman’s family must be totally devastated-
My C4 Corvette often wouldn’t start, so one day I just grabbed to A-frame by the driver’s seat and started pulling it down the street.
Worked pretty well until I got to the street incline and suddenly the car was heavy LOL.
Heavy Chevy? Yeah, actually.
Almost got a very bad surprise though when I was moving the boat around in the driveway by hand. About 17’ with 140hp outboard.
It was a piece of cake - and then it caught some decline. It took all my strength to hold it. Yelled at my Dad and we wrestled it back no problem.
I was used to moving it around the garage. Never tried that again in the driveway.
Oops (duh)
(A-frame)
Make that “A pillar”
ban the car. will this car be euthanized?
Yeah things like that we don’t know till we try- it looks easy- but like you say, any incline, and it’s whole different story- I had to wheelbarrow cement down a really steep driveway once, and had all i could do to keep the thing from taking off on me, and keep it from tipping over too— after 4 loads, i told the boss i needed help as it was wearing me out- i bout wore the legs off the thing as i had ot use them to slow it down- That driveway was crazy steep- I hated even driving down then back up it- I earned my money on that job lol
Yeah it was a piece of cake 🍰🍰🍰 until all of a sudden it was no longer.
Changed in 1 or 2 seconds. Easy, then real danger.
It will really surprise someone not expecting it.
My great grandfather tried to push a pickup up a small hill to his machine shop and almost finished when he got on loose gravel slipped and got dragged by the door back down the hill.
He got a bad case of road rash and a couple broken ribs. But the worse pain was when the doctor ripped off the tape around his chest(he was very hairy). Mom said she never heard anyone bellow like that.
The car must have crossed paths with a rogue AR-15 that taught it how to kill people.
elderly?....I’m going to be 69 this year and I don’t feel elderly at all....
Catching up to a rolling car and jumping in is a tricky move for a teenager much less an old lady.
Hear hear!
Evil car. JRB, Jr. will take care of it.
>> The victim tried to catch up to it, fell to the ground and was run over, becoming trapped
Apparently, she stopped the vehicle — her primary objective.
RIP.
