I have heard of so many cases where students get in trouble for defending themselves from bullies at school. And forget taking it out on the schoolyard—actual fighting?
So the schools teach the kids to remain victims, to never, ever fight back, and this is where we end up.

Lets not forget, many of these violent criminals carry guns or knifes. It’s common.
I think 99% of the people in NY are not allowed to carry or defend themselves or another life with a gun. So it makes some sense.
