Steve Bannon, set to go to trial next month for defying a congressional subpoena, has subpoenaed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and members of the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection as he builds his defense.
Bannon, a conservative firebrand who previously served as former President Donald Trump’s chief strategist and senior counselor, was charged with two counts of contempt of Congress in November 2021 after refusing to testify and produce documents. He has pleaded not guilty.
Last week, Bannon’s legal team subpoenaed 16 lawmakers and congressional staffers to testify at the July trial and produce documents, according to one of Bannon’s attorneys and copies of the subpoenas provided to CNN. The subpoenas were aimed at all nine members of the select committee, three committee staffers and General Counsel for the House of Representatives Douglas Letter. Bannon also subpoenaed House Democratic leadership, including Pelosi, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Rep. Jim Clyburn.
A spokesman for the House committee declined to comment. Spokespeople for Pelosi, Hoyer and Clyburn did not immediately respond to requests to comment.

Will Alec Baldwin also be speaking about how to use guns?
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll, sponsored by Miranda Devine’s LAPTOP FROM HELL for Tuesday shows that 41% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Biden’s job performance. Fifty-seven percent (57%) disapprove.

Americans are worried about the stock market and a majority now think the U.S. could soon face another Great Depression.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 55% of American Adults believe it is likely the United States will enter a 1930s-like depression over the next few years, including 25% who think another Great Depression is Very Likely. That’s the highest finding in regular surveying since 2009. Thirty-four percent (34%) now don’t think another depression is likely, while 11% are not sure. My mistake....not the exact day. Off by a few.
Good for him!
I really did laugh out loud at that. Thanks!
If 55% think we’re headed for a depression, how can 41% still support Joe? I know, they’re uninformed.
Update from Just Amy.....
FRustration abounds in Fresno.
I just left a message for our attorney to call me.
Chris went to the hospital and was told ...
He could NOT talk to the doctor in person and that someone would call him. Chris does not know what else to do.
I told him I would call our attorney. Hopefully we can get some information.
Jim does not have his phone. I believe it is at the nurse’s station.
At this point, we must keep the faith.
Not the right link?
This link goes to freeedame’s box to post to her.
That is very frustrating. Continued prayers for Jim.
One would hope that he has a healthcare directive, that names the individual with power of attorney that can speak with his physician or nurse to get information. If he doesnt have one, now is the time to get one pronto!
“Not the right link?”
Sorry about that. Here you go:

This is terrible...and, as I posted (on the thread, to Amy), so very frustrating. I’d asked Amy if JimRob had his phone.
Beyond evil what these CA (and, possibly other states, still?) are doing to their hospitalized.
When I had a very ill family member in the hospital, at the beginning of the year, I was able to mask up and go right to their room. Two visitors, at a time, limit.
I could take phone charger, books, slippers, etc. We kept a spiral notebook, on their table, for doc questions, reminders, updates, etc.
Prayers continuing...for this situation (JR, family, all).
41% are still living with parents or trust money adults or Silicon Valley crazies.
Who but the C’s have relationships with so many people who have committed suicide?
Thank you, gub.
I think what the CA hospitals are doing is criminal but I’m sure they are following Newsom’s orders.
He just can’t let go of any power when the rest of the country is getting back to normal.
Pretty sad when you have to contact your attorney for help in getting info about a loved one.
And just why couldn’t JR keep his phone?
