I voted for the Donald twice. However He is not the man for us in 2024: Proven he can be beaten (cheated whatever). I will push for Desantis or Paul for that matter.

So you believe DeSantis/Paul are immune from DNC/Communist party cheating/voter fraud that caused Trump to "lose"?

Appears there is a growing number of Freepers ignorant of reality.

“ So does DeSantis”

I cannot imagine DeSantis threatening to blow N Korea off the map and then crossing over to N Korea to shake his hand and offering to turn N Korea Korea into a tourism paradise in exchange for denuking. This kind of unpredictably is very uniquely Trump. Or when US intelligence uncovers a plot by the Iranians to attack a US military base and Trump publicly threatens Iran to unleash hell on them if it happens… and the Iranians back off. No politician - Republican, Democrat, DeSantis or anyone operates like Trump. Trump has no equal.

...”Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo, and Ron DeSantis would step aside if he did run for the party nomination in 2024.“

Pence?? What gives here? As if Mike would ever have
a chance. Plain vanilla with no gravitas whatsoever.

Ideally, 4 more years of Trump as CIC, with VP DeSantis tasked with doing what Trump was unable to do in his first term — drain the swamp in its entirety. DOJ, DOS, CIA, FBI….eliminate every last globalist swampster.

After that, 8 years of DeSantis as CIC.

He needs to learn the job alongside Trump as his VP. By job I don’t mean how to manage or govern. Trump has skills and qualities that go way beyond.

VP would sort of be a waste of DeSantis' skills and talents, and that is really saying something. The VP job is a resume enhancer for the person taking the role and an attack dog and weakness shorer-upper for the Presidential campaigns, but in office they don't really lead many things. Someone like Ric Grenell would be perfect in that role.

If Trump were to run again and get reelected (outside the margin of fraud this time) I think DeSantis would be type of Attorney General America would need at that point in history, and if not that, staying on as Governor of Florida and leading the fight for federalism, and it would still keep him a viable Presidential candidate.

“If we had a Trump-Desantis ticket, I could get majorly enthused about that!!”

Don't waste DeSantis in the VP position. Keep him leading as guvnor of the nation's third largest state.

Besides, President Trump doesn't have a record of playing nice with his reports. Too much could go wrong in that relationship.

DeSantis is our reserve ammo supply - keep him a safe distance from the fiery Trump.

But what if President Trump asked DeSantis to be his VP?

President Trump is overfull with stuff to do, so by tasking DeSantis to do some of it, he could open up a two front war on the left. Every time they got up enough steam to take on one of them, the other could tap in, forcing them to divert resources.

Next, the left wouldn’t be so ambitious to impeach President Trump, knowing that DeSantis would be in full payback mode.

Then, after President Trump finishes his second term, DeSantis would be a natural for the next term or two, and he could really cement Trump’s better ideas, making them much harder to overturn.

Whatever happened in Nov 2020, was for certain cheating, and Trump did win that election. And, he won despite all of the lies and accusations and impeachment attempts. Who else could’ve withstood all those barrages?

DeSantis became governor of Florida riding on the effectiveness of Trump as president, because, conservatives wanted more like Trump, but in Florida. Could DeSantis have been able to win with some other republican in the White House, who was not as effective as Trump?

What Trump accomplished cannot be duplicated, and only Trump can do it again.

You are allowing your thinking to be clouded by what the democrats defined Trump to be. I see Trump as the only candidate that can do what he did in four years, and thought DeSantis would have my vote if he were the candidate in 2024, I would still prefer to have Trump n there.

And age??? Give me a break! If he’s of sound mind and still capable, there is no age factor to be considered. He is not like Biden, where old age has eaten at his brain.

Sorry pollster, DeSantis is already running and doesn’t care what Trump does or doesn’t do. He’s raising $$$ and it’s not for Florida politics. No, DeSantis will not be VP.

DeSantis told you all that did he?
When was that then? And when are you going to stop making sh*t up?
Chuckle.

Nobody can come even close to President Trump in the GOP primaries if he runs in 2024.
He will flatten the competition.

Nope! I think it would be an instantly winnable ticket. Trump needs to grow up and stop getting in petty fights with allies. Thats part of them reason I prefer Desantis 😉

Outside of FR, that statement is inaccurate. Many folks voted Trump in ‘16 because Hillary.

“DeSantis or anyone operates like Trump”

True, but DeSantis has been very effective at moving Florida and cleaning up democratic corruption in schools, voting and law enforcement.

If he is not the presidential candidate he needs to stay on as Florida governor. No need waste four years.

Frankly, as he wins a solid reflection this November, I expect he’ll move way up in primary polls. I know a lot of people who would rather dump the baggage that comes with Trump. I would enthusiastically vote for either in 2024, but there are a lot of people dug in against Trump.

Actually, I attended a private fundraiser in Jan. And that’s not made up, either. Can things change? Yes but it’s going forward. So blow it out your ass.
