Not much is grown in Russia during winters. For food, they always had a dependency on Eastern Bloc and former USSR breakaway states.
In Russia, people don’t have a private farm. Some Russians have an apartment terrace garden and Decha. They can grow very limited. Russia will face the 1991 situation.

They need other things to eat.
In Russian grocery stores, they sell Potatoes for 40 cents. In the USA, I don’t think one can sell that type of crap. Then they have better quality for 90 cents.
Because roads are open, they have varieties in Russian stores, otherwise, they have very limited food.
They eat Buckwheat a lot.
Food shortage for the rest of the world will be real. The best thing will be less overweight people.
