Conservatives vote in elections that are reversed, and then blog with heartfelt anger. Other than that they don't actually do anything.
When we decided to fight like them, we became like them and they drug us down to their level and beat us with experience. We became big spenders, big government, we swap old RINOs for new RINOs. We have gone so far left we are now democrats and Dems are commies. Lastly we aren’t paying attention outside our own confirmation bias, we have no idea what is happening ‘out there.’ There was a time when FR was light years ahead, now we are stuck in the past, by design. We are just now figuring out the WEF Agenda (sort of, not really) When it is unstoppable now. A sad state of affairs.

I used to see this all the time with my kids - one kid would spend hours building an elaborate castle out of wooden blocks, and then try to defend it.

I believe primarily it's because globalist anti-Christians control our media and education system. These 2 institutions, more than any other, have been responsible for selling, defending and perpetutating the liberal globalist worldview - IMHO.

‘Republicans’ are PART OF IT
Define your terms. If by “conservatives” you mean Republican politicians, I can easily point out the flaw in your reasoning: Republicans are by and large leftwing these days.
If by “conservatives” you mean the rank and file people in the country, the answer is two-fold:
1) people in the USA are mostly fat and lazy. Fighting the destruction of your culture requires effort and, increasingly, sacrifice.
2) “Conservatives” are just as prone to absorbing brainwashing as anyone else. All the Left ever had to do was repeat the lies and propaganda long enough, and eventually “conservatives” adopt the thinking as their own and even defend it. Most of the feminist lies, for example, are vigorously defended by a substantial cadre of Freepers regularly. Try saying that women don’t belong in the military and see what responses you get. Or, for that matter, say that homosexuality is a mental disorder.
You can’t fight something if you don’t have the will to fight it. You need to believe that your position is correct in order to defend it. Once the propaganda has made you doubt yourself, or even reject your own belief system, you don’t have the guts to stand your ground.
There is some truth to this, however, ultimately, it’s at the behest of Government. Government always trends to that what gives it more power. Nothing gives it more power than modern “liberals”.
Conservatism takes work.
Work is hard.
