I want to print these....and, the great anonymous artist, DC posters, that Rusty linked...out as bumper stickers and leave behinds, for the grocery store.

“Fun times, at the grocery store.”

LOL, imagine not knowing what to do with a real potato!

I know, right?

I wanted to turn to them and say, in my best Forrest Gump voice, You know....you can take a real potato and bake it, peel it and dice or shred it, you can even fry potatoes, boil potatoes, make potato soup. Mama says that they even taste better, when you do.

But....I didn’t want to push my luck....after taking those frozen whole potatoes, right from under their perplexed noses.

I eat some frozen food since I live alone, but for the most part eat fresh food. And the nice thing about being single is, i freeze my own food after I get tired of eating it.
I guess if the cat food situation gets bad, my cat can eat good meat and fish he turns his nose up at, if he gets hungry enough. He thinks he’s better than I am, but he’s not.

“Mama says that they even taste better, when you do.”

I could hear Forrest Gump as I read your words!

The places I shop are not typically crowded, since I’m in a small town. But it never ceases to amaze me that there is a huge crowd around the Frozen entrees. But the aisles with dried beans and rice, there’s nobody there. Cereal and crackers isn’t usually crowded either, I found that surprising.

And you could add fresh potatoes to your pot roast if needed.
I only occasionally buy frozen hash brown patties, good for a quick breakfast.
My DIL didn’t know how to bake a potato not long ago.

It helps. They are going to do an ultrasound on the gallbladder this week.

I told hubs, this morning, that I was going to buy some chicken thighs to cook for our sweet dog who was acting like he had tummy problems, last night.

I said, he better not prefer chicken breasts, or he’s SOL.

Sounds like your kitty and my pup would make a good pair. 😂

I get that the rice and beans might be too hard for them to chew, since these shoppers obviously can’t/won’t cook....but, too lazy to even pour a bowl of cereal, or open a sleeve of crackers?

THAT is a sad state of affairs.

Do you cook chicken thighs and rice for your dog? I’ve recently been looking into making his dog food.

My cat is currently going on a hunger strike against commercial cat food. She won’t eat the can stuff or the pouch stuff. But she loves the people food. She had some cornbread the other day. And she just ate all of her chicken. Just cut up raw chicken. She refused to eat the chicken I had for her that we had all the supplements in it. I get that most of them don’t taste good. But she’s going to have some real nutritional deficiencies if she won’t eat at least one serving of canned cat food a day.

I think, unlike dogs, cats are good with an all meat diet. Of course Proby loves cantaloupe so there’s that.

my daughter had put her dogs on a natural diet for awhile. Apparently the chicken bones are a problem only when cooked.

You think so? When I was a kid, my cats were fine and 5hey didn’t have any “cat food”.

Costco had a depleted produce section, mostly the fruit section.
