Never understood why some think it’s wonderful to lay in the hot sun for hours. I worked outdoors many summers. It was always a relief to get into the shade. For a lot of us, it’s not so much about lying in in the sun. You can walk along the shoreline or sit under a beach umbrella or in a cabana. It’s about the salty breeze, the smells, the sounds, the vastness.

I understand why some enjoy it. My ex-wife loved laying on hot concrete around a swimming pool in the hot sun.
