Thank You! :-)
I love McClintocks mash-ups...been a subscriber for several years now.
Effects used:
- Ibanez TS-9 Distortion
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
TS-9 is a Tube Screamer Overdrive, not distortion. Their distortion was a SD-9 Sonic Distortion, my favorite distortion pedal ever. Made my Rat pedal look like garbage. Really sucks mine won’t work any more and I had to switch to a Boss DS 1, not the same. My overdrive is a Marshall Bluesbreaker, wish I could afford a TS-9...or TS-8...
Got a Blues Jr a couple of months ago, finally getting used to it, quite a switch from a 73 Super Reverb to that 15 watt rig but it’s doing a nice job. Had a Pro Jr in between, it committed suicide one night. Used my 74 Fender Champ for a while, just mic it and it does well, we play low volume gigs. The Blues Jr is a keeper though...
20 years ago I knew people who would lose their minds if they found an original TS-9 somewhere.
Can he fix the rest of the Eagle’s catalog?
Like me?
I’ve wanted one that long but never found one I could afford. Someone gave me my SD 9, it finally started to act up and I had to park it. Last time I found either they were in the $120 - $150 range. Or more. Boss DS 1 cost me 20 bucks...didn’t like the Rat pedal, sold it. Original ProCo Rat. Now I know I could have made a minor modification, got it to sound better...
Ditto for the old silver metal box Morley Power Wah. Mine cooked some of the copper circuit traces, can’t find one at all usually, if I do it’s at least 150 bucks. Just don’t have it usually.
Have a Digitech Death Metal box now, got it for a dollar at a yard sale, probably put it up for sale before long. Not the type distortion I need.
