Yeah 5his laptop is 10.yrs or even older. Was thinking about the updating process slowing things down- that very well could,be. It’ll be going along OK, then slow to where it freezes up. I even reset windows on it last night, wiped everything off, and new rest. Still does it. And found out that the wireless card is only 2.5 gh, so that really bugs down too for like videos- browsing is OK, not stellar. So, not sure what I will do. Likely take out the ssd, and junk the computer. I wouldn’t even want to give it to someone. The other thing I thought was maybe a bad ram module, or that they shoved windows 10 onto a computer that barely could run it.
The computer has been abused- the keyboard is popped up, like it had been dropped, there was coffee stains on it lol, so,who knows if coffee didn’t get inside and ruin it too.
I’m looking today at black Friday deals to see if I can score a good cheap faster laptop.
I use DosBox to run a late ‘80s program, but that is about my need for any pre-Win NT programs.
