It never ceases to amaze me that the same people who have watched our government rig elections, persecute the January 6 protesters, and tell lie after lie over the last two years of this Covid fiasco have blind faith in the government "justice system". Prosecutors and judges are politicians and every politician I've ever seen is dishonest to the core. I would abolish the death penalty, government at it's core is too corrupt and should not have the power to decide who lives and dies.

But when we know someone out and out killed someone...and it's a slam dunk. They should be executed post haste.

Express yourself within the terms of service parameters or the mods will be informed. Express yourself as you damned well please on the wall of a dilapidated building or subway car. We have all kinds of people on freep, black, white, yellow, red, brown, maybe even a few Martians. They all have something valuable to say here, and none of them, as far as I know, have killed anyone in a carjacking. I may even feud with a few of them on this forum for divers reasons. But certain terms cross a line, such as “spear chucker”. The Mods seem to have agreed.
I never read quite a lot of books, and I’ve read quite a few that you never read. Some of them several times. BFD. I saw the movie, and endured the sitcom. I have no interest in the book.
FWIW, I’m preoccupied with reading Aristophanes’ Lysistrata in the original, Medic in the Green Time (anthology of Vietnam narratives), Salman Rushdie’s Midnight Children, Tractate Berachot in the Jerusalem and Babylonian Talmud in original, intricate treatises on Chabad Chassidic Philosophy in their original languages, an anthology on Civil Disobedience, learning how to meditate, getting back into shape through martial arts exercises, and studying several languages. I also have to make a living, keep a teenage son in line, and help my wife, as well as post here. M.A.S.H. will have to wait.
I'll sure be voting for his opponent.
