My last bout of bread making was experimenting with sourdough again. One of these days I’m just going to give up completely. The texture turns out right, it’s a beautiful looking loaf, but never very sour. I’ve had my starter for about 20 years now, I’ve even brought it 2000 Mi when we moved. It smells pungently sour and Bubbles away. But it never transfers to the bread very well.
I think those are marvelous qualities especially for the times we are in.
Level heads will prevail.
That sounds like a great cook book. I’ve read that Kudzu could be eaten, the delicate leaves like lettuce and you could cook the bigger leaves like spinach. We might be doing that here in the south.
I was thumbing through my Ball canning book looking for how long to pressure can stocks. I noticed some recipes for squirrel in there.
I’m sure that Peter Doocy will be up to the task.
I really think his questions tickle Bye-don, who thinks he is smarter and can handle Doocy, but then opens his mouth and proves he can’t.
Little Red Lying Hood will be sparing with Peter as the caravan gets closer, I’m sure.
I bought the turkey at the store, and when the store is empty I will have nothing left to can.

Yes, I never found out what it is. I just live with it. When my daughter lived in Santa Rosa, my allergies were the worst when I visited. I had to take meds just to function.

My first try at sourdough I was a teen. I had the starter going, my dad came home from work, got under the house to find what animal had crawled in there and died. LOL, it was my starter he smelled.
