Actually there is some pretty solid data on this. I copied it, have it somewhere... It seems that Covid competes with some of the same receptors as nicotine. And that smokers are much less likely to be represented in Covid infections and associated hospitalization. By a pretty big percentage if I remember right.

I wish I could get an EBT for FOOD luxuries like *meat* but we’re 90 bucks over the income limit so reading that really pisses me off.
I wonder if the media pointing out that smokers seem to have a reduced chance of getting Covid is a factor?

I apologize for pissing you off. This is isn’t going to help any. The way they get seemingly unlimited benefits (I hate that word) is to show no income. If and when they work it is off books for cash. The system is set up to force people to cheat in order to use it. And, don’t tell me the government doesn’t know. They can probably pull up a list of every purchase.
