All I know about Spurgeon is he was one of the prominent preachers during the last big revival in North America and he is often quoted. He wasnt the milk toast pastors we have today. My preacher said that it was not our place to concern ourselvrs with trouble plaguing Michigan or the US. We are to be focusing our eyes towards heaven and God. I agree will where our focus she alway be, but I not ready to give up America in the process. In the next breath his said he couldn’t wait to see how the next generation would serve the Lord. I think we can lose religious freedom in one generation. Of course the church was closed to in person worship most of 2020. We need a wartime consigliere more than ever. Spurgeon sort of seemed like that to me.
