VAERSS is useless to draw conclusions from. It is invalid data for statistical measurement. However, it has been used historically as a tool to provide possible clues where there may be problems. Researchers may investigate further to see if there are any possible causation. But the VAERS data itself cannot provide answers.
Just saw an update on this, the authors have asked that the paper be withdrawn. Looks like they got the denominator wrong, and that the actual incidence is a lot closer to all of the other studies so far ~4/100,000, not 40.

So what would be better?
The research done with valid methods after being pointed in the tight direction by VAERS. VAERS was not designed nor is...suitable for drawing conclusions...it is raw data that has zero statistical validity...but, it can alert researchers to possible problem areas that then are researched properly.
That’s funny. VAERS was set up by the CDC and the FDA and nobody had a problem with it for 23 years. It averaged 200 vaccine deaths/incidents a year, which included self reported cases. Now suddenly it’s not a reputable system? Did the Covid shot affect your brain cells too? 🤣
